Hackelochloa porifera
Least concern
Hackelochloa porifera was thought to be the same species as Hackelochloa granularis. However, its sculpturing pattern on lower glume, shape of lower glume and upper glume of sessile spikelet, and greater qualitative traits are proposed to be valuable diagnostic characteristics [1].

Up to now, there has been no phylogentic study that includes H. porifera onto the phylogentic tree.
From specimen examination, H. porifera distributes from India to Indo-China regions, namely China, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam. This represents narrower than that of its related species, H. granularis.
